Olympiada
Olympiada is a small picturesque seaside village in the northeast side of Halkidiki, above the third peninsula of Mount Athos, situated next to mount Holomontas, one of the most beautiful mountains. It was built by Greek refugees from Asia Minor in 1924, along the beautiful seashore, in the recess of the harbour. The neighbouring beaches are easy to access and are characterised by the sparkling turquoise colour of their waters and the spectacular backdrop of the vibrant green nature. Considering the historical background, Olympiada is an important archaeological location because of Ancient Stageira, the birthplace of Aristotle. Ancient Stageira is located about 700 m east of Olympiada over the two hills of a small peninsula called 'Liotopi'.
Olympiada combines the atmosphere of village with the comfort. It allocates various shops as super markets, cafe, beach bars, taverns, restaurants, refreshment stands and basic infrastructures as organised beaches, gas stations, pharmacy, surgery, taxi. As a destination Olympiada is ideal for visitors that prefer quiet interruptions, nature, clean sea and beaches, far from noise of the mass tourism..
